This process ensures that drawings remain consistently aligned with the actual design information. In addition, the third dimension of BIM models helps stakeholders better understand the designs of other disciplines. The design is easier for everyone to understand, and BIM viewing platforms allow clients, project owners and others to understand designs under development and request the necessary changes more easily. This was more difficult in the traditional process, as 2D documentation could sometimes be hard to interpret.
